Fiorella Podesta | Statement

ORIGINS: My work is born from movement, transformation, and the search for connection between the inner and outer worlds. As an artist, mother, immigrant, muralist, and lifelong explorer of consciousness, I have spent more than three decades creating visual spaces where emotion, nature, architecture, energy, and human experience converge.

TRANSFORMATION: After leaving Chile in 2003 and rebuilding my life in the United States with my two children, art became more than a profession. It became a language of resilience, healing, reinvention, and possibility. Through painting, public art, and immersive large scale murals, I seek to transform both spaces and emotional landscapes, inviting viewers to reconnect with imagination, beauty, and a deeper sense of presence.

FUTURE LANDSCAPES: My work moves between abstraction and visionary storytelling, often inspired by organic forms, futuristic environments, spirituality, memory, and the evolving relationship between humanity and the natural world. Through my ongoing series “Future Landscapes,” I imagine emotionally intelligent futures where technology, consciousness, sustainability, and human sensitivity coexist in harmony. These imagined worlds are not simply fantasies of the future, but reflections of what we are becoming and what we still long to remember.

COMMUNITY & PUBLIC ART: At the same time, my creative journey has always remained deeply connected to community, education, and human expression. For more than two decades I have shared art, photography, yoga, and conscious creative practices with children and communities, experiences that continue shaping the emotional and spiritual foundation of my work.

Whether through an intimate painting, a monumental mural, or a public art installation, my intention is always the same: to create spaces that awaken emotion, curiosity, reflection, and connection. Spaces where people can pause, feel inspired, and perhaps recognize a part of themselves within the work.

VISION: I believe art has the power to transform not only walls and environments, but also the way we see ourselves, each other, and the future we are collectively creating.
